We are a growing community of women who recognize the value of close friendships and the positive impact they have on our lives. We strive to inspire others to take time to focus on, prioritize, and deepen these important bonds.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for two or three-day itineraries for a destination that you know very well. Ideally, you live in this destination and are well-versed in the best places to stay, visit, shop, and eat. Imagine you have a best friend coming to town for the weekend. Where would you take her? What would you do? That’s what we want!

We like to see itineraries based on season and/or interest. Think “Winter Weekend Getaway to Minneapolis”, “Ultimate Two Day Beach Getaway in Miami”, or “Budget Wellness Weekend in Atlanta”. The more specific you can make your itinerary the better. Things you should keep in mind are price point (budget or luxury), interest (outdoorsy or shopping), and time of year.

What's in it for us?

We are new on the scene and looking to be the ultimate online resource for information on planning Girls’ Getaways. We are building community and as such, we want to gather a network of girlfriends our readers can turn to for spot-on recommendations. By contributing your advice and expertise you help us grow and help others plan a great weekend.

What's in it for you?

At this time, we are not able to provide compensation for content contributed to the site. However, we want to help you grow as we grow. We are happy to allow up to two do-follow backlinks to your website or blog referencing articles of interest to our readers. We also publish an Author’s Bio with a little bit of information about you and links to your website and social media accounts.

We publish original content and photos.

Please do not submit duplicate content. The information you provide should not have been published previously, even on your website. If you have previously published a blog post about the same topic, make sure you use original language in your submission.

Only submit photos that you own the right to, preferably photos of you and your friends doing the activities you are recommending! More on photos:

Submit photos that you have taken
Photos should be in JPEG format, maximum size 500KB
Title photos to describe what they depict (for example: sailing_on_lake_michigan.jpg)
You will retain all rights to your media, but when you upload photos for publication, you grant Girlfriend Weekend a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use the images. For more details, refer to our Terms of Use.

One last thing...

We reserve the right to make edits to your content for spelling, grammar and clarity. We may also add or remove links, affiliate links or photos as needed. If you do not provide photos along with your submission, we may source photos from the internet for the post. We will do our best to communicate any changes we make before publication.
